It’s been an interesting day. I got to spend 90 minutes with our brand new CEO Ed Bastian in a small group discussion about leadership. There were about 30 of us there. Dude is sharp and he has a sense of humor. He also has a P85D or a P90D, he loves insane mode and digs the auto drive. It also sounds like there are some cool things coming in the future. I then had a couple of minutes to say hi to the 747 that is being prepped for our museum. Such a beauty.

Love the up close perspective! Weird/awesome seeing two commercial birds so close to each other.
Side note: I’ll be flying Delta to Alaska at the end of this month. Aw yiss.

Yes. That is the Delta general offices and that is the museum hangar in the background.

Cool. Enjoy it. I want to,say there are 757s on that route, but they may be 737-900s now.
It is rare to see the planes parked that close outside. It happens all the time in the hangar, but you don't get the sky and the distance to get good pics.

Says I’m booked for the hotrod 757. Hoping it has Delta’s latest interior and IFE.

The 757 is good fun. Fingers crossed for an updated bird. The interior is very nice.

Damn! I was just in Atlanta from Sunday to Tuesday. Drove home yesterday. Stayed at the Renaissance right next to the airport.

Considering more Airbus purchases?
I’m surprised it took Airbus so long to get final assembly in the US, given the possible market as well as growing discontent with Boeing’s tax and labor policies.

That is one of the few things we didn't talk about. I would agree that it is surprising that Airbus took this long to develop non-Eurpean assembly options.
